Introduction
This is a quick step-by-step walkthrough for transferring a domain from GoDaddy to 34SP.com.
Please note that if your domain has less than a month left on its current registration, we do not recommend proceeding with a domain transfer.
Transferring a .com domain name from GoDaddy to 34SP.com
STEP 1
Log into your GoDaddy account
Visit godaddy.com, and click Sign In.
On the sign in form, enter the username and password associated with your GoDaddy account.
STEP 2
Choose ‘Manage All’ Domains
After you have logged into your account, locate the section titled ‘Domains’, and click on the ‘Manage All’ link.
STEP 3
Choose your domain
When viewing the My Domains page, simply click on the domain you wish to transfer.
STEP 4
Check your contact information
Before proceeding with your domain transfer, located the section titled ‘Contact Information’ and make sure all your contact information is up-to-date.
STEP 5
Unlock your domain for transfer
After you have checked your contact details, scroll down to the section labelled ‘Additional Settings’, and find the option ‘Domain Lock’. Click ‘Edit’ and change the domain lock status to ‘Off’, by clicking the toggle button that appears.
STEP 6
Start the domain transfer
Now your domain is unlocked, you are ready to begin the transfer process. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, and click on the option titled ‘Transfer domain away from GoDaddy’.
STEP 7
Submit transfer request
Then fill in the form at the bottom of the page. From the dropdown menu titled ‘Where are you transferring your domain’, choose ‘Other please specify’. In the field that appearing underneath, just enter ’34SP.com’.
You can leave the ‘Why are you transferring?’ section blank if you wish.
Click the button labelled ‘Continue’ to submit your transfer to GoDaddy.
A few minutes after submitting the form, you will receive an email from GoDaddy containing your transfer authorisation code.
STEP 8
Begin transfer into 34SP.com
After receiving your authorisation code, you are ready to transfer the domain into 34SP.com.
Go to 34sp.com/domain-transfer and enter the domain name you wish to transfer.
Should you wish to, you can also choose to change your nameservers. If you do not know which nameservers you wish to use, simply proceed with the transfer in. You can always update your nameservers after your domain has transferred into 34SP.com.
When you are happy to proceed, click the button labelled ‘Start Domain Transfer’.
STEP 9
Checkout
You will then be taken to the basket page. Some domains (such as .com) require a transfer fee to be paid prior to transfer. This is due to the fact that upon transferring your domain, it will also be renewed for an additional year, on top of any existing registration time.
Simply click the button labelled ‘Checkout’ to proceed.
STEP 10
Enter your authorisation code
Finally, enter the authorisation code contained in your email from GoDaddy, and click the button labelled ‘Continue’ to proceed.
You will then be asked to enter your payment details, and make payment. Upon this payment being made, your domain transfer will begin. We recommend allowing 5 – 7 working days for your domain transfer to complete.
Transferring a .uk domain name from GoDaddy to 34SP.com
STEP 1
Log into your GoDaddy account
Visit godaddy.com, and click Sign In.
On the sign in form, enter the username and password associated with your GoDaddy account.
STEP 2
Choose ‘Manage All’ Domains
After you have logged into your account, locate the section titled ‘Domains’, and click on the ‘Manage All’ link.

Choose your domain
When viewing the My Domains page, simply click on the domain you wish to transfer.

Check your contact information
Before proceeding with your domain transfer, located the section titled ‘Contact Information’ and make sure all your contact information is up-to-date.

STEP 6
Contact GoDaddy support
Now your domain is unlocked, you need to contact the GoDaddy tech support team with the following details.
- A specific request to transfer the domain name. Include the full domain name in the request.
- The IPS Tag, which is 34SP.
- Account validation information (customer account number or user name and your Support PIN).
STEP 7
Begin transfer into 34SP.com
After receiving confirmation from GoDaddy that your IPS tag has been updated to 34SP, you are ready to transfer the domain into 34SP.com.
Go to 34sp.com/domain-transfer and enter the domain name you wish to transfer.
Should you wish to, you can also choose to change your nameservers. If you do not know which nameservers you wish to use, simply proceed with the transfer in. You can always update your nameservers after your domain has transferred into 34SP.com.
When you are happy to proceed, click the button labelled ‘Start Domain Transfer’.
STEP 8
Checkout
You will then be taken to the basket page. Transferring co.uk domains is free, so simply click the button labelled ‘Checkout’ to proceed.
STEP 9
Agree to Nominet terms & conditions
Finally, click the checkbox labelled ‘I agree to the Nominet terms and conditions’ to agree to the terms & conditions set by UK domain registrar Nominet.
The click the button labelled ‘Continue’ to continue.
You will then be taken to the final payment page. As .co.uk domains can be transferred for free, there no payment is necessary. Simply agree to the 34SP.com terms and conditions and finalise your order. We recommend allowing 5 – 7 working days for your domain transfer to complete.
