Our new T&C’s – what does it all mean?

9 November 2020

Stuart

As you’ve hopefully seen via the email in your inbox from us, this week we’ve updated our terms and conditions. As detailed in that email, the new terms apply to all your 34SP.com services, unless you tell us you don’t accept them, at which point we will terminate your services for you. You can find the older terms for reference purposes here.

The main question we face after a huge update like this (it’s our first in more than 15 years!) is, “what are the main points you’re changing, what are you trying to sneak in through the back door amongst all those pages?” To be honest… nothing.

We strive to be open, honest, and ethical at all times, and that extends to our terms and conditions of service. For the most part, they meet various legal UK requirements and in some areas we happily exceed them.

There are no hidden sections or gotchas waiting to snag you. Indeed we’ve removed a bunch of stuff we never really enforced; a 2% interest rate on overdue invoices? No, we never once applied that to a single account.

Mainly the update addresses the length of time that’s passed since the original draft; the old terms refer to products like co-location – services we haven’t offered for over a decade. Additionally, we’ve also debuted a new privacy policy for prospective and actual customers.

Should you have any queries about our new terms, feel free to ask away in the comments below and I’ll happily answer. If you’d rather keep the query private, drop an email to support@34sp.com instead.
