User should be aware that as of 1st January 2014, ICANN (the body responsible for assigning .com, .org, .biz and .net domain names amongst others) are sending a confirmation email to all new domain registrations, and any that have their account modified in any way for verification purposes.
This email is genuine, sent from hostmaster@easyspace.com and MUST be actioned in order for your domain registration to complete (or stay active if it is an existing registration).
Any domain registered or altered from January 1st must have the registrant (you) verify that the information supplied for the domain registration is correct by clicking the link in this email from Easyspace – Easyspace are the company we use for .com, .org, .biz and .net registrations.
This is a measure designed to reduce the number of fraudulently registered domains. Failure to click on the link and confirming your registration details may result in the domain being suspended. If this happens, it can take a minimum of 24 hours for it to become reactivated once verified.
