WP Meetups online during lockdown

The WordPress community continues to thrive under lockdown with monthly meetings across the country transferring across to video call platforms. This month our staff have been busy with a variety of online WordPress meetup groups from around the country, all from the comfort of our homes.

Manchester WordPress User Group – Wednesday 17^th June – https://mwug.uk/

Kayleigh joined the MWUG meetup and shared her talk on how to fix slow websites which is always an interesting one to listen to. From finding out why your site is slow to using image optimisation, updates and more to improve the speed.

Tim took attendees at the virtual WordPress Leeds group for a look around his personal site. Looking at his plugins, his workflow and so much more.

WordPress Glasgow – Tuesday 23^rd June – https://wpglasgow.org/

Laura helped to host the WordPress Glasgow meetup again this month. With a great casual format the Glasgow group offers a general Q&A and mutual help format, which sees the group split into breakout rooms  to discuss topics of interest.
