Updates, Security and Backup
Server software is automatically updated on a daily basis. Sites are also scanned for malicious files using ClamAV. Plugin and Core WordPress updates are managed through the 34SP.com developer tools plugin within the WordPress admin.
The default WordPress username and password are randomised and never sent via e-mail. WordPress login failures are detected by fail2ban and repeated failures result in an IP ban to deter brute force login attempts. FTP is only offered over SFTP (after the FTP lock in our control panel is also disabled).
