Here are a few suggestions for some free Android apps that web professionals may find useful.

 

Dropbox

Such a simple idea but nigh on essential for our technological world. The ability to save documents, sound clips and photos to the Cloud. Once you are connected via wi-fi, any photos you have taken will automatically upload to your “Camera” folder. This is such a great feature, as it allows you to edit photos a lot quicker than the old fashioned method of connecting the camera via USB or ejecting the memory card and putting it into a reader port.

 

AndFTP

AndFTP is the essential FTP app for your android phone. Just like any FTP software, you can browse your device and your server files, as well as transferring files from one to the other. Not only that, but AndFTP also supports FTPS, SCP & SFTP. With the ability to rename, delete, update permissions (chmod), run custom commands, as well as full SSH RSA/DSA key support, you’d be hard pressed to find a better FTP app.

A great app for web designers, Magic Color Picker is a powerful colour selection tool. With support for 7 different colour modes including RGB, HSV, HSL and YUV and the option to use either palette or sliders to adjust your colours, this is the perfect tool for finding that winning colour combination.

This handy app brings a popular desktop browser feature to your mobile device. Once the app is installed, simply enter your URL and you’ll be able to view the source code of that page. A great little tool for checking code out whilst you are on the go.

 

Adobe Photoshop Express
