Introduction

This is a quick step-by-step walkthrough for installing and editing a custom SSL certificate via the 34SP.com Control Panel.

Please note: All 34SP.com hosting plans include free one click Let’s Encrypt certificates, for more details see our KB article ‘How to install a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate‘. If you have purchased a custom SSL certificate via 34SP.com, we will install the certificate for you.

Installing an SSL certificate

STEP 1
Login to your account

Firstly, you’ll need to login to your 34SP.com account at https://account.34sp.com.

STEP 2
Choose ‘Manage Sites’

Once you have logged in, click on the ‘Manage Sites’icon.

This will bring up a list of websites or domain names you have in your 34SP.com account. Simply choose the website you wish to edit by clicking on it.

STEP 3
Select ‘Advanced’

After you have clicked on the website you wish to edit, you will be presented with your website overview page. Choose ‘Advanced’ from the product navigation.

STEP 4
Choose ‘SSL Certificates’

Then click on the icon labelled ‘SSL Certificates’.

STEP 5
Installing an SSL certificate

This will bring up a page with 2 options, for installing Let’s Encrypt or custom SSL certificate. Choose ‘Custom SSL Certificate’.

In the field labelled ‘Private Key’ please enter the private key associated with your SSL certificate. The private key is generated at the same time as the CSR (certificate signing request). If you personally generated the CSR, the private key will be in the same file location.

In the ‘Certificate’ field, please insert the certificate in full.

Depending on your certificate, you may be required to enter your certificate authority in the field labelled ‘CA Certificate’.

When you’re done, click ‘Save Changes’ and your SSL certificate will be installed.

Please note: You can return to this page to edit your certificate at any point, should you need to.
