Here at 34SP.com we’re often asked about the compatibility of our web hosting and email hosting products with mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Through our site analytics we have seen a steady increase in the use of mobile devices to access our hosting products and services as well. Every product that 34SP.com offers is compatible and configurable to work seamlessly with mobile devices. This is particularly important for business web hosting - as more and more businesses adapt to mobile Internet use.

So just how quickly and in what ways is the mobile Internet replacing desktop Internet use? Along with our outsourced vendors, 34SP.com created the following Infographic which compiles a vast amount of data on the subject of the mobile Internet, and displays it in an easy-to-understand format.

    Very interesting and thought provoking

By one of those strange coincidences, one of my customers whose site is my reseller account space has just EMailed me asking if I could do a mobile version of his web site. Not the faintest idea of how to start out on this project, so a lot of research is needed. And how do you test such sites other than by buying a smartphone ?

    Best Regards

Urrr… Bearing in mind there are 7 billion (7,000 million) people in the world, “..smartphone and tablet shipments surpass desktop and notebook pc shipments by almost 200,000 million units” means that on average every man woman and child on the globe has around 29 units. I don’t think so…
Or maybe I’m just being thick.

Your figures on sales are somewhat overstated – by 1000 times, in fact. Both PC sales and smartphone sales – you mean 200m PCs shipped in 2005, for example, not 200,000m. That would be over 30 PCs per person on the planet shipped in one year….
