This week sees the release of version 1.3.2 of Wapuu Dashboard Pet (WDP), the popular plugin written by our WordPress specialist Kayleigh. I say popular, but at this point it’s fair to say this is THE most popular Wapuu plugin on WordPress.org, and for good reason…
WDP is aimed at helping users keep their site (and now content) up to date, safe and secure at all times. It does this with the help of WordPress’ semi-official mascot, Wapuu. If your WordPress website doesn’t keep WordPress core or plugins up to date, you’ll find Wapuu becomes increasingly distressed, urging you to update.
In version 1.3.1, the biggest change is the addition of an optional content reminder. If enabled, Wapuu will become increasingly sad the longer you go without blogging. If you need that little reminder to keep your content fresh and updated, this setting can help you keep to your blogging goals. After all, no one wants a sad Wapuu.
