3Dsecure

If you now make a payment online with 34SP.com you will notice we have adopted the 3DSecure system. Specifically the Verified by Visa (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode (SecureCode) systems for the respective cards. What are they?

VbV and SecureCode are new security programmes to enhance your protection when shopping online. The systems allow you to create a secret password for each of your cards. The password is then required whenever you make a purchase online. The password is never stored by the merchant. Only your card issuer ever stores the password information securely.

If you have not registered for VbV or SecureCode don’t worry. The next time you make a purchase online (through a 3Dsecure enabled merchant) you will be prompted to provide your details and create your password. The details you enter will be then submitted to your card issuer securely. You only need to do this once for each card you use.

If you make purchases online regularly you will see most merchants beginning to adopt this system. Should you have any questions regarding this process please contact us on 0161 200 1855 or email us at account@34sp.com.
