34SP.com uses Dell servers for all its Dedicated Server solutions. Every account is provisioned on Dell hardware with the specifications tailored to our customer needs. These range from the entry level rack server, the PowerEdge R210-II to the PowerEdge R910. These servers are specifically put together by our suppliers and our on site engineers set up the server on arrival to the Data Centre with direct contact with the client throughout the process.

Software Versions

Each Dedicated Server setup is preconfigured with an Operating System of choice. The most popular being:

  CentOS

  CentOS is a community-supported, mainly free software operating system based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). CentOS is the most popular Linux distribution for web servers with almost 30% of all Linux servers using it.

  Debian GNU/Linux, which uses the Linux kernel and GNU OS tools, is a popular and influential GNU/Linux distribution. It is distributed with access to repositories containing thousands of software packages ready for installation and use.

  Fedora is the third most popular Linux-based operating system.

  SUSE

  SUSE Linux is of German origin and mainly developed in Europe. The first version appeared in early 1994, making SUSE the oldest existing commercial distribution. It is known for its YaST configuration tool.

As an LIR 34SP.com is independently responsible for the administration and allocation of the address space that underpins our network. 34SP.com presently provisions transit from four independent providers: Level(3), Abovenet networks, Cogent Communications and Tinet.
