We have recently begun our final testing of a new webmail system. The new ‘atmail’ system is planned to replace the aging horde system. The new interface should be more intuitive, cleaner and ultimately easier to use.
At this time we are welcoming anyone interested to login to a test server and take a test drive. If you do test the system please let us know how you find the new interface. Your comments and suggestions are highly valued.
Please note that this is a test server. As a result capacity may be limited at certain times. If you fail to gain access drop us an email (help@34sp.com) so we can help.
To access the new system first login at:
http://atmail.34sp.com
Next select ‘click here’ next to ‘external accounts’ and complete the relevant information. NOTE: To avoid email loss we strongly suggest you choose ‘IMAP” from the ‘More Options’.
The test server can be use to access any mail account, non 34SP.com mailboxes included. Feel free to test using any mailbox you like.

Any reason why you’re not switching to roundcube? It’s very similar to @mail and it’s OpenSource - definately worth a look!

SMS credits seem to be in USD, not GBP?

We’ve tried out Roundcube too - so far it doesn’t seem to be very stable, and also doesnt’ offer the more minimal versions which atmail does.

Currently doesn’t seem to be working for me, just getting..
DB Error: connect failed
I did have a play with it the other day though, feel free to call me old fashioned, but I think I prefer Horde. The full Atmail interface appears to be cluttered and confusing. I didn’t have chance to try the other interfaces fully - I might like those better.

Generally like the layout.
Still appears to be no option for including a graphic in signature - this would be very useful to us.
Haven’t explored thoroughly yet but I couldn’t find a way of automatically including a cc address in every sent email - we use this a lot in the Horde system.

Looking good guys apart from the little bug with the “.” at log in (which im told will be sorted) the system looks good. Its a fresh new upto date look and seems to have some great features such as outlook sync.
Also from a reseller point of view i will be far happier providing clients with this interface than i was with horde. Look forward to playing with it in more detail.

Was looking forward to checking this out. Used to be a cubemail user before, never seen @mail, so curiosity got the better of me. unfortunately I received this message after logging in:

Is @mail going to be secure? Plusnet had a major incident with it, many peoples address books etc were stolen by spammers (one reason I moved my hosting away to 34sp). They claim to have identified several vulnerabilities with both the perl and PHP versions, and are now using Squirrelmail for their webmail.

Looks good, I’ve used roundcube (which I like) and obviously I’m using horde (which I do not like) but @mail looks very simple and intuitive, which for a lot of my clients is a necessity
Do you know how long the test phase will last before you go live, just that I’ll need to prepare to update my ‘owners manual” for my clients to include the new instructions.

I would like to see a secure logon (have the little lock at the bottom of the browser) like gmail has, so that the logon and password are sent encrypted. Horde doesn’t seem to do this at present, is it sent in clear text?

I don’t much about IT and we just use very basic facilities but will the system allow us to share diaries between users?

Just curious what the results were for this?
IMP’s okay, but it’s strengths are the Horde framework to provide all the Groupware/PIM stuff which obviously doesn’t get used here. I like SquirrelMail but it’s a bit minimalist if your used to IMP/the Horde framework.
